Hello crafty friends! T he Cut Shoppe 2016 - 2017 Design Team is hosting a blog hop to introduce the current designers and let you get to know each of us a little better. To begin, I want to share with you a recent project I created using the lovely Rosey Posey cut file from The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store ( get it here ) and the new Simple Stories Sunshine & Happiness Collection. I love anything flowery and this file is a perfect fit with my photo, the paper, and the embellishments. Now, a little bit about me. 1. Since I am a high school teacher, I do get to craft quite a bit during the summer and various breaks from school. Cool AF with Paper Issues

Hey Paper Issues friends! It's McJen today with a layout created last month during the Birthday Crop. If you missed out on the fun, not to worry, there will be another crop in a few months. Until then, let's take a look at this fun project for the Face Painting Challenge. For this layout, I began with the dark patterned paper from the Heidi Swapp Old School collection that were splattered with Fossilized Amber and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks (find all of the in-stock inks here ). Next, I fussy cut the "lightening bolts" from another patterned paper, distressed the edges, and adhered them with an ATG. Using pieces from Vicki Boutin's Story Teller collection, I embellished around the main photo and framed two smaller ones. The title was cut using the FREE Paper Issues AF Sayings cut file. Scraplift Sunday with Paper Issues

It's my favorite day of the week . . . Scraplift Sunday! This week we are lifting a fun layout created by Christie, and where she went summery, I went fall. Let's take a look. Following Christie's lead, I began with a stencil and Distress Oxide inks (Rusty Hinge, Fossilized Amber, Evergreen Bow, and Tumbled Glass) to create a background. After the stencil, my project took on a life of its own, which is what I love about SLS. You can lift all aspects of a layout or not. After backing my photo with vellum and patterned paper from Pinkfresh Studio's Days of Splendor collection, I began embellishing using the same products. I love this picture of my milk glass collection and the colors in the Days of Splendor collections match perfectly. For the title, I used the FREE Paper Issues Tag Along in October cut file.
